“Sunday Morning Stretch…” is a brand new concept class which is fast becoming our most popular virtual session of the week..

Why is it so perfect for you..?

The 3 components of this class are;

  • Breath
  • Mobilisation 
  • Stretching

It blends these three components in an easy to implement, flexible and available “on demand” , 45 minute glorious start to a Sunday at 9 am.

Meditative Breathing is amazing for reducing stress levels, lowering blood pressure, reducing depression and helping manage chronic pain. Deep breathing will also arm you with the skills to cope more effectively with stress and fatigue.

Taking some quiet time to focus on breathing is an amazing method to help promote sleep, relaxation and is a positive way to access “meditation” without getting too spiritual about it, if that isn’t your thing!

Mobilisation is something which often gets forgotten about in a workout programme. It is primarily a preventative method of protecting your joints, preserving flexibility and moving through postures to achieve easy and free movement. The perfect solution to offset long hours at a desk, driving or just being too static. Our marvellous bodies are made to move, so allowing yourself the time to implement strategies to help you maintain movement for longer can only be positive addition to your routine.

Stretching… one of the most neglected elements of movement. It is also ancient… and generally speaking, ancient methods which are still kicking around in 2020, probably have got some merits!

Let’s face it, if you were not bendy when you were 5, you probably are not going to be bendy when you are 50, but stretching is all about working within the parameters where you feel safe, relaxed and capable.

People race through a stretching routine, 2 mins to whizz through the hamstrings, quads, calfs…

Taking your time is where the benefit really happens…moving gently and slowly through sequences of movement to establish greater flexibility is the strongest strategy to improvement.

Honestly, stretching through movement in a relaxed environment, in conjunction with your breath is just heavenly! It feels uplifting, empowering and motivating.
